The last few months for me has been a struggle to find motivation for anything. This was the motivation for starting Shannon Elizabeth Photography. I am loving doing things with photography but even this has not motivated me like I had hoped. I have finally found something to make a difference and make what I am doing a little bit special.

I have decided that my photography business will be a fundraising business with the proceeds going to The Girl Effect.
75 percent of any photo shoot will go towards The Girl Effect with the remaining 25 percent going to wards fuel and supplies to continue doing everything.

So please if you are considering getting photos done whether it be a family shoot, a friends shoot, babies, children, couples, concerts, events, consider me as not only are you getting great images to last a lifetime, you are also helping a worth while organisation. If you know anyone who is, suggest me to them. Shannon Elizabeth Photography will hopefully have a website by the end of the month. The Beginning of Shannon Elizabeth Photography

Since my 10th birthday when my parents so kindly fulfilled my wishes and bought me my first camera (basic zoom film camera which I still have) I have loved to take photos of anything and everything. In the ten years following I have owned six digital cameras mostly point and shoots but also the larger Digis that are want-to-be SLRS. The latest edition to this list is my Nikon D90 DSLR and I could not be more thrilled. With this I can finally do proper photography that looks great! So with this passion, a desire to learn as much as I can, I am starting my own mini business of photography. I am yet to decide what I want to specialise in so I am trying everything, practicing techniques for a lot of different things and will eventually decide what I want.
Memories can fade but a picture says 1000 words and brings those memories flooding back.
This blog is to document my learning process, and put my name out there a little more than just facebook.
So let me know what you think of my photos and keep them in mind next time your deciding if you want to get some photos done or not.
